Karsiyaka

Karsiyaka is located to the west of Kyrenia.  This village offers stunning views of the highest mountain in the Besparmak mountain range. Just 5 minutes drive from the village you will find a large and beautiful bay where it is still very possible for you to be the only person there.

As we have just mentioned Karsiyaka village is located on a breathtaking mountainside.  The village of Karsiyaka is famous for its historical monastery that sits perched high up in the mountain.

Karsiyaka has flat land along the coast of which stretches 2 to 3 miles from the sea and up to the steep Kyrenia mountain range. The crystal clear Mediterranean and selection of secluded bays are just stunning.  Karsiyaka is just a short drive to the many popular hotels, restaurants, bars and entertainment.

Even now the majority of land in this area has still been left relatively untouched, in the village you will not be faced with large hotels or even holiday villages, just life in a Cypriot village continuing as it always has. 
 
Some people who prefer to be close to town might consider Karsiyaka 'too far away' even though it is probably only 20-30 minutes away from central Girne.

Karsiyaka is to this day still referred too as a sleepy village, nestled into the mountainside with little to offer the tourist.  A coffee shop, general store and a mosque! The general beauty of the location and views are something else and well worth taking a look around.
